'Kill List' E-mails Save Shelter Dogs from Death
July 24, 2008

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- A South Carolina animal shelter is going to new lengths to avoid putting animals down, by sending out mass “death row” notices via e-mail.
Rosie, a 5-year-old Beagle, was featured on one of these e-mails. She was at the Greenville County Animal Shelter, and was unadoptable because of severe health problems. The e-mail, referring to Rosie and another dog on death row, said, “They will both be euthanized tomorrow at 8 a.m. unless someone speaks for them.”

Dispelling the myth of Wolf Dogs

May 23, 2008

BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. -- The term “wolfdog” inspires trepidation in many people, who think they are wild and dangerous animals. But Nancy Brown, president of Full Moon Farm, a non-profit rescue and sanctuary for wolfdogs, in Black Mountain, N.C., says these fears are unfounded and fueled purely by an unsupported myth.

She claims that when treated properly wolfdogs are no more dangerous than any other pet dog.

Woman Saving America's only Marsupial
April 13, 2008

ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- The opossum, or possum as it’s commonly known, is probably best known for its ability to fake death. But for many people these animals are little more than pests, and such misconceptions have led to their needless suffering over the years.

High School Adopts 22 Cats and Dogs
February 19, 2008

ASHVILLE, N.C. – Teachers often admit the best way for students to learn is through hands-on experience, but Reynolds High School has taken this adage to the next level.
On January 31, the high school adopted 10 dogs and 12 cats from the All Creatures Great and Small Animal Shelter in Hendersonville.
The shelter had recently been forced to close due to concerns over animal welfare and the animals were left with no place to go.

The  Civil War In Uganda - the premiere episode of Global Agenda -  and one of Alison's favorites. The program examines the complex, on-going civil war in Northern Uganda and its devastating effects on civilians. Extensive research yielded compelling guest panelists who were able to articulate first-hand accounts of this under-reported humanitarian disaster and provide exclusive footage from Uganda.

A conversation with Chaim Yavin - Israel's veteran news anchorman - often dubbed the Walter Cronkite of Israel. Human Trafficking/Modern Slavery
Alison has produced two shows concerning the appalling practice of human trafficking and modern slavery worldwide. She worked  with one of the nation's top experts on this subject and with the world renowned organization Free the Slaves;  exposing viewers to the horrifying circumstances facing an estimated
27 million people enslaved worldwide in virtually every country - including the U.S.A. Footage of young girls being smuggled across the U.S./Mexican border shows the extent of the sex trade here and abroad, and stone cutters from a small community in India add an element of hope as they recall their successful fight for freedom.

           The Falun Gong Emblem

Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) is an advanced practice for the Mind and Body, deeply rooted in traditional Chinese culture. The practice is based on the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. However Falun Gong was banned in July 1999 by former Chinese leader, Jiang Zemin, who viewed the growing populairty of this practice as a threat to his power. He launched a brutal persecution campaign against practitioners and since then thousands have been detained, tortured and sent to forced labor camps. As Porducer of Global Agenda  Alison was able to fly two very special guests in from New York to participate on the show. Dr. Charles Lee was imprisoned for three years in China and was tortured for his beliefs. Dr. Wenyi Wang was arrested outside the Whitehouse for protesting the visit of Communist Chinese leader Hu Jintao.
